Lo sanno bene Alba Cappellieri e Bianca Cappello, curatrici della mostra “Gioielli di carta” in programma nel capoluogo lombardo dal 16 settembre al 25 ottobre. Ovvero la più completa rassegna mai dedicata al gioiello di carta attraverso i progetti di sessanta designer provenienti da tutto il mondo, dall’Australia alla Finlandia, dal Giappone all’Olanda, dalla Turchia alla Polonia. Piegata, ricamata, intrecciata, cucita, spugnata, plissettata, fustellata, riciclata, incollata, acquerellata, la carta rivela tutta la sua poliedricità e sorprende con le sue mille declinazioni. Diventa rarefatta negli origami di Nobuko Murakami, elegante nei plissé di Janna Syvanoja o nelle gorgiere dell’olandese Nel Linnsen, geometrica nelle strutture di Sandra di Giacinto e materica grazie alle texture di Ritsuko Ogura. Impossibile non riflettere sul concetto di preziosità: non sono più i metalli e le pietre a rendere unici i pezzi esposti ma l’idea stessa, che rappresenta il filo conduttore di tutta la mostra.
